About Us
we have been working together since our first year at the university of Northampton where Joel studied film and harry studied acting. we have been working as concrete playground since 2021 and have developed our skills together in a number of areas and expanded beyond showreels to films and more.
Joel caborn
D.O.P
Joel is a D.O.P from Leicester who has been shooting his own films since 2015. Joel spent many of his early years as a director and cinematographer but as his projects grew bigger, he decided to specialise in one area. Since then he has started both Concrete Playground Productions and Forgotten Birthday Films and has been a part of many projects, including his two most recent: ‘Mannequin' by Louis Lampard and ‘Whitsun’ By Brian Dike.
harry Michael sanders
SOUND RECORDIST
Harry is an actor and editor with significant experience in the film industry, taking on a variety of roles on sets. He began by helping out friends on sets and since then has moved onto bigger projects. As a freelancer he has worked with Hashtag United, Sky TV and Netflix.
Katie glenn
SCRIPT WRITER
Katie is a writer who is passionate about different forms of literature. Alongside writing showreel scenes, Katie has recently published her first childrens book and also dips into poetry writing.
Katie is happiest when writing contemporary drama and comedy, however, she loves a challenge, even writing in different languages. She's happy to work however you want to, just get in touch!
Kirsty devlin
SOCIAL MEDIA & SET DESIGN
Kirsty runs the social media and is a script editor for the company while specialising in set design. In collaboration with Forgotten Birthday Films, she got her start in set designing on 'Rule Three' and has been developing her skills since then. As a film production student at Royal Holloway, she also has experience in directing and editing and has worked on a number of productions, inside and outside of university.
